Four Years of Advanced Canvas – From Side Project to Art Manufactury

On May 1, 2025, we will celebrate four years of Advanced Canvas. When we look back on this time, one thing stands out: it’s been a journey full of passion, hard work, highs and lows – but above all, incredible experiences that have shaped us both as individuals and as a company.

It all began in 2021, when we – Alex and Natalie – crafted our first sculptures by hand in our basement. From a small, converted office, our first studio was born, and our living room became a gallery. Here, between everyday life and a big vision, we sold our first models to people who immediately felt the heart and soul behind each piece.

With additional support, we were able to move into our first real workshop in Unterreichenbach – a key step in turning our passion into a true art manufactory. We showcased our works at exhibitions across Europe, laying the foundation for what Advanced Canvas stands for today: craftsmanship, art, and true dedication.

2022 brought new energy. At the Retro Classics in Stuttgart, we unveiled our first small-scale model, the 17-inch version of the 992 – a complete success that confirmed we were on the right track. In the same year, we began discussions with Porsche, which led to our first major joint project: a special edition of the Taycan Cross Turismo in collaboration with sneaker designer Sean Wotherspoon. It was both an honor and an adventure to work with such iconic names while still keeping our unique style intact.

In 2023, we continued to grow: Our team became stronger, our workshop more professional, and our standards higher. We developed new projects with Porsche – the GT3 RS and a limited Le Mans edition – and learned what it truly means to work at the highest level. Every day brought new challenges and opportunities to push ourselves further.

But 2024 began with a moment that deeply shook us. Internal conflicts turned everything we had built upside down. What seemed like a setback turned out to be the driving force for our further growth: We came closer together, grew stronger through the challenges, and found new strength.

Despite everything, we managed to deliver our largest project to date on time: 330 sculptures for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. What appeared to be an insurmountable mountain became a reality through teamwork, passion, and perseverance. This experience changed us – we now operate on an entirely new level.

We are especially proud of the GT3 RS, which was released in September 2024: A sculpture that sets new standards – with a carbon frame, high-gloss painted metal jewelry parts crafted locally, and a material mix that combines durability and excellence. A true work of art that you need to experience to truly understand.

Our biggest lesson over the past few years? It’s not enough to describe our product – you have to feel it, hold it in your hands, see it with your own eyes. This is exactly what we’re working on now: making our passion visible and tangible.

Exciting new projects are already on the horizon – with Porsche and other brands.

We are incredibly excited to use the coming years to grow even further, learn, and create more extraordinary artworks.

A huge thank you to everyone who has accompanied us so far – and to those who will become part of our journey.
